# Why do I see a controller in the dashboard but not my app

Sometimes you may see a device on the Pro dashboard that does not appear in your app. The most common reason for this is someone has factory reset the device and linked it to their account. Once this is done, you'll need to request a new code or factory reset the device again to put it on your account.
